Please, recommend me British tv shows

I haven’t watched many British shows yet. I loved My Mad Fat Diary and The Office UK, and I have Merlin and Ghosts on my list. I also watched half an generation of Skins.
I like smart comedies, teen dramas, period dramas and weird/camp tv!
Edit: WOW! Guys, I didn't expect so many answers and so many amazing shows being recommended! :) I'm definitely grateful and excited to watch some of those.

What recent TV series is a must watch?

When I say recent I mean the past few years. My girlfriend isn’t much of a series fan but recently I’ve got her to watch Adolescence, A Thousand Blows and Protection and she was thoroughly gripped! Recommendations please!

Can someone please recommend a really good British TV show?

I’m British and I’m struggling to find a really good TV show to binge. I’m open to most genres. It could old or new. I’m tired of scrolling through Netflix and Amazon Prime and finding nothing.
